HERITAGE UNIVERSITY PRESCHOOL
Location: Toppenish, Washington
Type: Institutional
The Heritage University Early Learning Center in Toppenish, WA is a 5-classroom daycare developed for the Manzana Foundation projects. Located on Heritage University’s campus, the 7,452 SF building incorporates a sloping metal roof with deep overhangs, adopted as the formal language of the new campus masterplan. Graham Baba Architects developed the prototypical building into a fully functional space, adding an additional classroom and abiding by campus standards.
Designed for children ages one to five, the Learning Center includes teacher offices, administrative and conference spaces, kitchen and support spaces, and restrooms. The 9,300 SF exterior play area has two playgrounds, as well as covered outdoor space. The project was completed in 2022.
